Looking For a Way to Help a Loved One?
When someone you love is receiving palliative care, it can be difficult to know how to bring comfort or create a meaningful moment together.
NeuronsVR can help your loved one reconnect with familiar places, treasured memories and calming experiences. You can sit beside them, share what they are experiencing and create an opportunity for comfort, conversation and genuine connection.
NeuronsVR is made available through participating care providers. Ask your loved one’s care team whether NeuronsVR is available, or share this page with them to learn more.

Therapy for Hospice and Palliative Care Teams
Palliative care is about supporting quality of life for end-of-life care. NeuronsVR supports end-of-life care by providing gentle, calming therapeutic experiences that can be tailored to a person's individual preferences, cultural background, and life history.
Programs are used to support comfort, reduce anxiety, and help manage existential pain as a non-pharmacological approach to care, reducing the use of anxiolytics, supporting final wishes and reducing agitation and discomfort at end of life.
FEATURED STORY
A Shared Experience
Sarah, Daughter of Resident | Calvary Springvale
Margaret was receiving palliative care at Calvary Springvale. Her daughter, Sarah, asked if there was anything that could bring her comfort while confined to her room.
One of the cllinical care staff introduced NeuronsVR, choosing a virtual experience of the rugged coastlines of western Ireland, where Margaret had spent her honeymoon decades earlier.
As the sounds of crashing waves filled the room, Margaret’s breathing slowed and a serene smile crossed her face. For twenty minutes, the clinical surroundings faded away, allowing mother and daughter to share a quiet, beautiful moment of peace together.
"To see Mum so completely relaxed and smiling at a memory she loved was the greatest gift. It gave us a beautiful, peaceful space to just be together."
